dreaded room 1001 : october 14

Theres nothing scarier than knowing that three people in your household are sick with flu-like symptoms and you're the only one's still healthy. It's just a matter of time baby...before it catches up to you. Alright maybe I'm not totally healthy but at least I haven't been afflicted with the phlegm and sore throats that the others have fallen prey to. Ugh, it's the beginning of flu-season as we know it and well, I'm sure most of you haven't gotten your flu shots or maybe you just don't believe in them. People are as divided on the flu shot theory as they are on who's running for President.

:: back to room 1001 :: Next week, I have some exciting stuff to do on my agenda. I'm heading back to the Immigration building on Friday to get some stuff taken care of before our trip because the fuckin INS hasn't sent K his greencard yet. They said it will take 6 months to mail it to us and so....where the hell is it? I've griped about this before, but the INS in LA has GOT to be the slowest in the nation. Why, oh why, didn't I move to Wyoming or something before I began this process. You dedicated readers may recall my last incident at the INS building. This time K is going to feign that he doesn't know English so I can sit inside with him instead of having to stand outside all by myself being accosted by pan handlers. Also, we're going to get there before 6am to get this rectified. When you're dealing with the INS - it's alllllllll business. (oh yay...)

On that same day, we plan on going to the Japan Consulate to get a Visa for him. It will be, a very, very, very long day for us. I can really only handle one government red tape process in one day and going to two means alot of wasted hours spent watching that "We Are Now Serving #" counter, sitting on very comfortable chairs (if any), spending alot of time with other ethnicities who don't believe bathing is a daily routine and fuck, just alot of grouchy government workers who assume you're going to treat them like shit so they begin treating you like shit before you even get to the counter. But hey, that's life.

Well lookey here, JP's got himself a little SF Scribble section to recount his days while he's in the City by the Bay. Goad goad goad goad goad! More pictures, more pictures, more pictures....I'm going to drive him insane pretty soon.
