park it : june 01

i like this one the best.

I'm having trouble getting back into writing. I think I lost my writing muse or something. Bear with me for a bit until he/she/it returns. Maybe it's the lack of nutrition or something.

I took my dog to the park yesterday and snapped a few pics.

sprinklers on.

It's my first time taking the cam to this particular park since I don't like the idea of carrying "valuables" in quiet places since you never know who's hanging around looking for victims.

during the winter, these trees look cool because they don't have any leaves. too bad i didn't take any pics a few months back.

After the park, I went to the gym to swim some laps since it was well into the 90's here in my town. I got there around lunchtime and so there wasn't anyone around with the exception of 4 elderly Asian folks. I dove right in and swam about 6 laps before I felt a billowing of fabric near my ass. I shrugged it off. After 4 more laps I backed myself up to the wall and place my right hand on my right ass to feel flesh where my suit should have been. To my horror, I ended up tracing the outline of this huge hole that had torn in my suit. So that's what the billowy fabric was! It obviously grew and grew with each increasing lap and increasing resistance from the water. I swam to the other side of the pool, where no one was at, and climbed out. I casually walked back to the lounge chairs where my stuff was at and plopped down to catch some sun, while also waiting for the people to leave, so I can make it into the locker room without anyone detecting the big hole.

Yeah, that's what I get for digging out a 3 year old swimsuit and thinking it's still going to hold up. Guess there's no excuse to not get a new one now.

apparently this park is a sister park to one in Japan. interesting. i didn't even know until i came across this a couple months ago.

You know, when I first started the site, there were always stories to chat about from work. Then I stopped working and talked about my day's off and going out to try new restaurants. Now, that I can't eat at restaurants -- what the hell am I going to talk about?

Maybe I should write my recipes here instead.

these trees are nice and lush. reminds me of the deep south for some reason.

There's a lady at the park who also has a Maltese, albeit an ugly one and not quite as adorable as my little fluffy one. I talk to her from time to time. She stopped me yesterday to tell me that each and every time she's been on the trails here in recent days, she's encountered a snake.

Maybe that's why they have signs like these:

Happy Birthday to Camichan!

Congratulations to Ms. Bleak on her recent acquisition.

Thanks to Comabound for sharing all those HK pics with us. Makes me want to book a trip already. Her pics have rekindled my love for HK.

Good Luck to that Hedgie Person on her move.

I'm out.
