yeah, what the hell am i up to again huh? you probably have noticed a few changes throughout the site by now. if you're paying attention that is. had an itch and i needed to scratch it. i've been talking about making an overhaul on the site for some time now. it was a matter of sitting my ass down to do it. after letting a few days pass without updating nor touching the computer, i decided it was time to get down to business. why? because i had the other design up for about 6 months now and i needed a change. plus, i haven't tooled around on web stuff in awhile and i shouldn't let it get too rusty right?

so what's different in this version? not that much i think.

• i omitted the calendar type of navigation for the time being. it's redundant for me to list things out on my archives page AND do the calendar link at the same time. who knows, maybe i'll revert back to the calendar later on if this doesn't work out. i know you lazy people will gripe and whine. get over it.
• navigation to the other main pages of the site are linked via those pictures in the upper right hand corner there. you know me and my fetish for picture hotspots.
• gave myself a wider space to write my not-so-daily entries so i can post wider pictures on here should i feel the need. i had to constantly adjust the size of my pics smaller to fit my old entry's column size.
• the theme this time needless to say stems from my recent travels to hong kong, japan and hawaii. If you want more info on the pics, check out my backbone page near the bottom. i also did change some of the content in the backbone page also.
• cut out the long intro paragraph on my archives page and slapped some of that stuff onto the backbone page.
• there's still an ugly guestbook to sign if you didn't even know i had one. perhaps I'll get around to beautifying it one day.
• hope it's ok with yen that i have a lil shinkansen train up in the corner there. i didn't steal it from her, i promise! she knows my penchant for that mode of transportation. just covering my ass because....wouldn't want to be caught red handed stealing other people's codes you know. :P (thanks yen for correcting my typo there. I've changed it since but yes, shame on me for misspelling such an important word!)
• i retained the wording from my previous version since i couldn't come up with witty shit this time.

still....simplicity is the key.
