Yes,
I think it's about time I start posting some stuff on the site before
you think I internally combusted at my computer. You know, those
documentaries that they show on Discovery with a big black burnt
hole in the middle of the chair but with charred arms still attached
to the keyboard? Yeah those. And if I were to be a victim of human
combustion, I think that is exactly how the coroner would find my
body: arms and hands remaining intact on the keyboard and with my
short dangling legs now fallen into a heap on the floor near the
computer tower. The rest of me literally going up in smoke.
Anyway,
where does the time go? I stop posting for a day and then it turns
into two, then three, four, five and such. But I can't lie, I'm
really enjoying my time off. It's not like I don't have anything
to say, I just can't seem to get what I want to say out onto the
page. The preceding days of entries will be posted in the near future
when I can put all those lil snippets of thoughts into cohesive
sentences. Right now, they're like those chopped up tentacles -
appendages laying all over the place without rhyme or reason.
If
you were to read it now, it would look something like this:
"
that bitch....boba.....calculate......civic.....bad accent....marriage....parents....olive
garden....hepatitis phobia"
Yeah,
you get my drift.
Actually
it's probably more interesting in the sentence above than in the
actual entries.
I've
also spent a considerable amount of time on the Rice
Bowl Journals' Discussion Boards but I find that I'm a lil too
old for some of the topics. And not only that, they talk about alot
of things that I've discussed here on my site: face, chinese identity,
living in two cultures and such. I don't want to re-hash all the
stuff I've said over and over again. I think it's a great idea for
folks to talk about stuff and to see all that they can bring to
the table but I'm just spending too much time there and not enough
here.
So
yes, that means I'll be back dedicating all my time to you guys.
:P As if you really cared at all.

Before
I forget, I was browsing through the Travel section of the LA
Times and saw a great deal from Malaysia
Airlines. They are currently promoting an AccessAsia
Pass for $747! You fly from
LA to Kuala Lumpur and within 30 days, you can also fly to 24 other
Asian cities. Here's the list of the 24 cities offered:
Bali
(Denpasar) • Bandar Seri Begawan • Bangkok • Beijing • Cebu • Hanoi
• Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) • Hong Kong • Jakarta • Kota Kinabalu
• Kuala Lumpur • Kuching • Langkawi • Manila • Medan • Penang •
Phnom Penh • Phuket • Shanghai • Singapore • Surabaya • Taipei •
Tokyo • Yangon
Hot
diggity. I don't even know where some of those places are! You can
also extend your trip beginning from $150+ and even add on other
countries. I also like their travel dates as well -- they have two
large blocks of the year marked for travel. So you know, if you're
thinking of traveling, this may be a very good way of seeing Asia.
Hell,
maybe I'll even see you in....Kota Kinabalu (wherever that is)!

My
in-laws sent me a parcel recently from HK. It's nice to know that
people who you don't see very often still think about you and surprise
you with stuff out of the blue. Call me greedy but it's just damn
nice to get goodies from people, especially when it's family. Since
I am honorable Daughter In Law #1 in K's family, I hold surpreme
status, even if my future sisinlaw is older than me. And they must
all bow down to me to create an heir for their family. Unfortunately
for them, they don't know that I am not giving into this age old
tradition of.....being host to the eldest son's offspring.
Before
I go on, I should tell you that I have two SILs (sister in laws).
One of them of course is N, who is Jasmine's mom and my brother's
wife. The other is S, who is K's 2nd brother's wife. She is younger
than me, so naturally she must pay me even more respect than normal.
:P
In
the package, I got this really awesome handcream from "SIL
S" (as opposed to "SIL N"). She mentioned it to me
in passing on the phone about 5 months ago and asked if I wanted
Rose or Lavender. Secretly I wanted Lavender but having to put on
that whole Chinese courtesy shit, I said "whichever one is
fine with me." Of course using my telepathic abilities, I tapped
into her brain and had her send me the Lavender one. So I get this
handcream in this real banged up box and my first thought was "oh....used
goods" :| but
then it was perfectly new inside, so she didn't lose any points
with me.

I'm
really iffy about using Lavender stuff because some places make
their products smelling anything BUT Lavender. However this brand,
Jurlique has
made it the best I've ever smelled it! Oh it's so fuckin divine.
And it's not only the smell but also the texture of the cream as
well. I'm so deathly afaid of overly oily creams but also hate creams
that don't do the job either and this one has the perfect balance.
So I've been putting it on at night before I go to bed, and whoever
says that aromatherapy stuff doesn't work has obviously been wading
in their own excretions too long. And hopefully I'll sleep more
soundly and keep those bad bad bad nightmares at bay (you'll read
about this soon).
Anyway,
so I'm thinking if the handcream is sooooo good....I wonder how
their other stuff is? Luckily this Australian brand has an online
store in the US! Yay. And *gulp*, I just saw that the handcream
I'm so in love with costs $43 USD per tube! ====:o
Bow
down.
Anyway,
check out their products
for more info.
Will
share my other goodies tomorrow!
I'm
out.
