the malaysian version of the shaved ice, aka ice kechang. across the globe there are many variations of this nice summertime treat but i shant embarass myself by misspelling all of them for you. since i'm usually accustomed to the hawaiian or the chinese versions, the malaysian version was an interesting surprise. it's been years since i've had one of these and i've really forgotten what they have hiding underneath the layers of shaved ice. on the surface it looks like the hawaiian shaved ice with its multitude of colors but underneath you'll find gigantic red beans, agar agar, and even salty corn along with other surprises! i'm sorry but the salty corn threw me way off. :p but i did like the two spoons inserted at the sides that looked like bull's horns. be adventurous and try all different ethnic versions of shaved ice today because there's nothing quite like this treat on a hot summer's night.

these are called my "out the window" photos from the driver's seat. i think that's pretty self explanatory. there's so much to capture really in los angeles and although i gripe about not having anything to take, it's really because a moving vehicle usually doesn't make for safe photographic adventures and i usually miss the chance when your first priority is safety behind the wheel. of course, if you're the passenger, it's a different story.

anyway, just a couple photos of some buildings in downtown. nothing quite like old structures or very possibly faux old structures. :p you never know here in good ole LA. nothing much to talk about these days, or rather, my brain isn't functioning much, so i'll save my stories for later.

I'm out.
