look at the giant stitch displayed in downtown disney!! i know, you can't really tell how big this mofo is but look below and with people alongside it, you can tell it's godzilla stitch! btw, that's not me below. it's my friend with his date and i'm not so sure he wants their pic plastered all over the place. :p see, i'm respectful li'dat.
this was my first time going to downtown disney ever since it opened. you get the feeling of being in disneyland without having to pay the crazy admission price and on summer evenings, it's always a festive time to partake in when you can watch the fireworks go off across the way in the actual disneyland itself. parking is free and i guess what more free entertainment do you want?
there isn't a real big selection of restaurants but i suppose it's adequate but beware of those amusement park prices though. they really slaughter you. we ate at this one italian pizza place, and the ceilings were rather whimsical, so i snapped a photo of it. but the food wasn't really worth mentioning even though i did take pics. i thought it would be worthy to post here but it was yucky and so i'm not going to post them. that was hella redundant wasn't it?
the lego store is very interesting and the biggest attention grabbers are darth vader and r2d2 made from legos blocks! they also had the nyc skyline, a giant giraffe and other life sized lego figures. neat! i would love to go to legoland someday too. maybe when i'm older and can pay senior citizen rates.
probably the busiest place in the entire downtown disney is the world of disney shop. it's a gargantuan shop with all the disney stuff you can imagine. it stretched on endlessly and i was getting dizzy looking at everything since it was all so multicolored and busy but it was very very thorough. actually, my whole purpose of going to downtown disney was to check out the shop to see if they had any neat lilo and stitch stuff. i snapped a lot of silly pics inside but i can't show you them. too incriminating. however here's something that was hung from the ceiling:
