it's been one full month since i last updated on the main site here and as much as i missed out on sharing a lot of random tidbits and photos with you, it was a good thing to focus on other areas of my life. so i suppose at this point i should say 'welcome back' to you and to myself.
you probably noticed a drastic change here already but it was time for a new look and a new inspiration. i just couldn't sit there and write anymore for some reason looking at the same old layout day after day. don't get me wrong, i loved the last layout, it's just that...it's time for another chapter of my life to begin. and with that, a new facelift was needed. aside from a new layout, i also cleaned up the entire image files and entry archives and moved to all to new directories. they were getting to be too overwhelming in their old directories and in order to handle them better, i had to move them. after checking every single page in the archives, everything is updated now but there may be broken links/images strewn about. just email me and let me know where.
anyway, this new layout is inspired by my tattoo and by my love for asian art (methods) and designs. i hope you'll like it as much as i do. it's more serene, simple and zen like. yes, definitely something we all need more of in our lives. there are bound to be bugs still in the framework of this thing but i'll get around to fixing everything in due time. i tried to build this thing for all platforms, resolutions, monitors and such but you know that's hard to achieve since everyone has it set on something different. but regardless, i hope it doesn't look too bad from where you're viewing it.
i actually lied to all of you when i said i was redesigning the site a few weeks back. i just sat on my ass and procrastinated for weeks on end trying to think of how the new layout should look. but nothing was really "hitting" me, so i put it aside for a bit. i actually didn't start on the site until last sunday (5/5) and have been burning the midnight oil since then. i would of course have gotten to it a week earlier but you know how things went right?
well, click around to see some of the old and some of the new by using all the navigation to the left there. if it's not self explanatory enough, i dunno what is. :p
a really important change that took place was that i moved my scribble page from http://aiyah.net/scribble/scribble.htm to the root directory and now resides in http://aiyah.net/scribble.htm. so if any of you are linking to my site via the old scribble page, then PLEASE UPDATE YOUR LINKS. :)
i also created an aiyahstore through cafepress (finally!). i only have two mugs and a coaster up there but do take a look and see if there's anything you like. i'm not gonna coerce you to buy my stuff but it's my store, it's there, enjoy it. :) [this is where i cue the subliminal messages to make you buy stuff] haha.

and if you think i'm sounding more serious than i usually am, it's because i really need sleep and my brain is practically fried. too many hours in front of the computer does that to a person. so i think i better go catch up on it.
