hawaiian sounding christmas

now this is what i would call a christmas wish come true! i came home to find the sounds of a hawaiian christmas on my doorstep! thanks so much to richie for his kindness & generosity in hunting down some hawaiian christmas music for me. i played this all night while cooking & eating dinner, surfing on the net etc. listening to the music made me want to go to hawaii this christmas even more so. but i know that won't be possible (at least i don't think so) this year. but with music from the islands wafting through the house - i feel like i'm almost there. he got me both of the na leo christmas gift cds, hapa holidays cd and the brother cazimero's cazimero christmas favorites cd. talk about hitting the nail on the head!

it seems like the rain has finally subsided in LA and the weatherman reports that the cold front will move away in the next few days. they say that by saturday, we're looking at 80 degrees! ok, maybe i can envision it being a hawaiian christmas here afterall. but in the meantime, it's still cold and i'm still craving for korean food.
so tonight, i got some korean groceries and made myself some soon doo boo/soon dubu with beef & seafood. i also purchased some marinated octopus, marinated seaweed & chap chae from the korean market and dished it all up with brown rice. tasty!
but i think somehow the curse of the burning anus will return soon since i'm eating so much spicy stuff. it's great going into my mouth but not so happy when it comes out. :\
i'm kinda beat right now, so it will have to be a short entry tonight. until tomorrow then....
oh wait, thanks to everyone for writing to me that they received the card. i'm so glad so many of you liked the design. it was well worth the time & effort then. :) i was surprised to hear that australia received it before some people in the east coast os the usa. i've heard back from many of you in singapore - glad it made it fine over there as well. i guess it didn't require the 7-10 days to get there then. haha. i'll try to write back to everyone shortly.
