at the carwash today, i was giving the guy my carwash order when i turned to look at him and saw him looking not at me but at my chest. "i'm up here" i said. i think he should have given me the wash for free since he looked at my boobs for free.
i didn't look at the weather report until afterwards. it's going to rain tomorrow.
figures.

i didn't have lunch until 3pm. i made my way to a hong kong style cafe and ordered an iced lemon tea. yummy. there's something so comforting about hong kong style cafe foods - a really great balance of chinese & western cuisine all rolled up in one. but even though it's westernized, it retains a very chinese style flavor to things. even something as simple as an iced lemon tea doesn't taste anything like the ones you get an american restaraunts. maybe it's because they put plenty of lemons to counter the strong ass tea base and there's that shot of syrup on the bottom to sweeten things up. :9
while some people are ipod-ing, i am still md-ing. i can't live without my md player.

it's rare that i eat curry since it sometimes doesn't agree with my stomach and that not too many places make a good one. hk style chicken curry (white meat please) is so different from the indian style of curry, the japanese ones and the thai ones. it's still spicy but a little sweet with a nice layer of oil glistening about. it's so good with white rice - which is why i rarely eat this dish - can't be having carb overload now. :p

the baked pork chop rice was equally tasty. it looks messy - almost like a chicken parmigiana but it's not. this is probably the one dish that if i had to epitomize what hong kong style cafe cuisine is - this would be it. underneath the baked mixture of fried porkchop and tomatoey sauce & cheese, lies a bed of tomato-based fried rice. yes, quintessentially hong kong cuisine.

and how could i forget the hong kong style waffle for dessert!
