mounted
february 13, 2005

i recently (finally) printed out some of the photos i've been meaning to mount for myself. from all the travels and other things that mean a lot to me, i've been wanting to capture them in hard copy format and display them. i wish my house is more of a place for me to put up these photos - but perhaps one day in the future i will.
instead, i like to display my photos at work since i spend the bulk of my weekdays in my cubicle. not that i tend to daydream but whose mind doesn't drift from time to time when you have a shitload stack of work sitting in front of you that you really don't want to get to? it's in moments like these and when i'm at the office late at night that my eyes tend to wander around my cubicle. i already have 3 photos hanging on my cubicle wall and they always take me to a better place with good memories, good thoughts and a better outlook. but i think i need more to adorn the walls since i need more incentive to work my ass off so i can make the changes that i want to in life. and so, i'm putting the 8 above up beginning tomorrow.
that should get me moving towards my next goal - goal # 6.
i should mention that the only downside to putting up these photos is that my colleagues never believe that i took these photos. they think i bought them somewhere. it's always the same statement, "you TOOK these?? i didn't know you liked taking pictures?"
as if a person doesn't have a life outside the confines of work. maybe they don't have a life but i certainly have one - even if it is online.

strange quotes of the week from people who are practically strangers:
"you smell really good.... are you wearing perfume?"
"you're quite busty."
"i'm still married to my wife but we don't have any sexual relations
anymore."
"you have some thighs on you."
"i bet you will eat his share too."
yes, a very strange and somewhat insulting week of comments i say.

post gung fu update
where does my body not hurt today? nowhere to be exact. i haven't experienced this type of soreness from a workout in years. the majority of the stiffness & soreness are in the legs, inner thighs, hips and that region of the body - no doubt from all the kicking and squatting. oi! i could barely get in and out of the car without wincing today and i'm moving like a geriatric.
my upper back, triceps and biceps are all sore too but not as bad as the legs. and then there's the abs too. seriously, the only part of my body that doesn't hurt are the feet.
i hope my body will be better suited for this next week.
on a sidenote, i tried to beat up TGILW with the new attack combinations that i learned. or better yet, i'll use my new attack combinations on the people who said those strange quotes to me.
