luck of the eyebrow

i mentioned to someone today that i should be hitting the lucky streak of my lucky eyebrow anytime now. you remember the story behind that? i was reminded of it recently when it dawned on me that i'll be turning 35 this year. the more i think about that story, the more silly it seemed but then again, it sits in the back of my mind waiting comfortably for something magical to happen.
i don't really recall the exact years that the feng shui master/fortune teller said my luck would come but i just remembered that it was somewhere in my mid-30's. at age 12, being 30-something was as far away as it can get. well, ye olde feng shui master, i'm turning 35 this year - were just pulling my leg and charging my parents an obscene amount of money for your gibberish?
ever since 2005 started, it's been quite topsy turvy. i feel like i'm on a roller coaster ride that doesn't stop. and at times, i'm feeling queasy from the ride. i've made up my mind to commit myself to do certain things as well - some will be life changing decisions, others are just things that i've been putting on the backburner till now. i wonder if it's coincidental that my lucky eyebrow year is taking place the same time as all these things that i've put into motion. it's only the 23rd day of the year but so far, i feel like i'm moving at light speed. i wonder if i'm moving too fast for my life and if all the changes i'm about to make are going to be the right decisions?
i suppose there's only one way to know. life is a gamble indeed and i'm not going to sit back and fold on every hand. there are some cards you must deal with when you have them in your hand. i intend to up the ante.

it was a pretty nice weekend here in LA. it was warm and tank top weather so i took the snowbie to the park for some romping.
i also went to have some korean food (again) and had some kim chi pancake.
i also had dim sum with the niece and my SIL N. jasmine really loves dim sum and can eat a whole lotta stuff - especially the egg tarts. she's ready for her new sister, sofia. only a few more months until we meet her. :)
and some more korean food with friends. to the top of the grill is cow tongue. it was pretty darn tasty.
