the H sisters

yesterday at lunch, after my JKD class, i got a chance to hang out with the H sisters. we were reminiscing about when was the last time ALL 4 of us were out together and we concluded, it must have been in my college years. although i see each one of them separately, it's so hard to get everyone together at one time. Biohazard Chick is on the left, RN Chick is in the center, and then there's the chick formerly known as PR Chick and Farm Girl/Gurl (how did i used to spell this? shit, i forgot) on the right. i think from now on, i'll call her Emulsion Chick. this one should stick for awhile.
since they were all in rowland heights for a family get together, they suggested eating around there. and wouldn't you know that they decided on korean food. it's all good though as one can never have enough of korean food. :p until my anus says "no more" that is. :x
PR Chick ordered the dolsot kimchi bibimbap (mixed vegetables w/ kimchi and rice in hot stone pot). i was really salivating looking at her dish. i can just imagine the kick it would have. made me crave some kimchi fried rice on top of that.
i ordered the mool neng myung (cold buckwheat noodles). i don't know what possessed me to order this aside from the fact that i was feeling hot after my JKD class but once i started eating it, i was freezing my ass off. i think i only ate 5 bites of this before i decided to push it aside. [note to self: only order mool neng myung when there's a heatwave]
Biohazard Chick had the dolsot bibimbap (same as Emulsion Chick's except without the kimchi in it). i usually like this dish in its regular state, without the stone hot pot, because whenever i eat it in the stone hot pot, i feel like i'm getting a facial from all the steam rising up from it. and the last thing i need is to have my pores injected with sizzling chili pepper paste.
RN Chick had the soon du bu (tofu casserole).
and we all shared the wang kalbi.
the H sisters and i go back a long ways. what's really cool is that i'm friends with all three of them and have a separate friendship with each one that is equally important and special. don't worry, i'm not going to get all weepy here but it's good to have friends that go back with you to days before you even knew how to drive. we laugh so much about our days of youth and when we're all together, it seems like we are in our teens again.
i'm so looking forward to seeing them more this year, especially at Emulsion Chick's wedding, shower and bachelorette party! muahahaha.

JKD class is getting intense. i kid you not. and just to show you how much i do not dick around in class is my collection of bruising from yesterday's class. in the previous weeks, i've gotten 1 or 2 slight ones but this time - it got pretty ugly. the first one is on my right forearm - a nice greenish tinge don't you think?
this one is on the underside of my left bicep. i had to raise my arm next to my head to take this pic. so that's why you see my hair. it's almost a perfect fingerprint. it's a nice violet color no?
and this last badboy is on the inner side of my upper right arm. this one is approximately2.5 x 1.5 inches big. it's located right on the chicken wing portion of my arm and it's especially ugly gross flapping in the wind.
i'm really enjoying my class though, even though i look like i'm a victim of domestic abuse.
