kim chee fried rice
january 27, 2006

i received these two beautiful sheets of japanese paper in the mail yesterday. it came from ichiyo arts in georgia but there wasn't a note as to whom it was from. i have a couple ideas but am not positively sure. it must be someone who knows my home address as that's where it was shipped to. thank you to whoever it is! speakup and let me know if it was you! :)

i've actually been to the ichiyo arts website before and looked at all their fantastic papers. they have such a great selection that i wouldn't know which one to choose from first.

^ pb is still camera shy

i was randomly emailing with PB (i forgot his pseudonym! i had to look it up in my last entry about him! eek!) today at work when we decided to make last minute dinner plans out for korean food. ever since i posted a photo of the kim chee fried rice from back in 2004, PB has had a craving for it. poor guy had to wait over a year to get his fix.

it was all good except for the friday night traffic. it was awful to sit at a light for 3 consecutive changes and still not be able to turn -- all the while seeing the restaurant in plain sight. argh! but it was worth it to have good food and good company, especially on a chilly january evening. brrrr.

it was kinda strange going out tonight as i haven't been out in ages. ever since getting sick and not really feeling like seeing people or socializing, i've been quite the recluse. what's even freakier is the fact that i haven't worn makeup in nearly 4 weeks!!! now, don't get me wrong, i'm not the type who is afraid of going out without makeup but usually i try to make an effort. in recent days though, i've been omitting the makeup and just using some lip gloss. oddly enough, my skin has been fabulous. ok, maybe not fabulous but better than when i was wearing makeup. and i don't even feel weird about not being "done". maybe this illness is really getting to my brain. but at least i can get out of the house much quicker for work now. haha haha.

^ kimchee fried rice - so freaking good

anyway, as i was saying...tonight was the first night out in a long time. i was chatting away at a mile a minute. i hardly even ate much of the tasty morsels shown on this page but i guess that's life. lucky for the boys i guess as they get to eat more while i yapped away. it seems like there's so much going on with me. my life is just full of doctor's appointments, driving to tests here and there, keeping up with work and its responsibilites, trying to just restore myself to whatever healthy state i can be at for the time being. and just constantly inundating myself with medication. ughhhh.

can i say how much i HATE side effects and taking meds?

^ pan fried kimchee and pork (one of my faves!)

i have a lot to catch up on here. it's hard to believe that we're only 27 days into the year and i think i already maxed out on my flex account spending by all these specialists i've been seeing. i'll go into more detail in the next entry. i've been wanting to jot everything down but each day is flying by faster than the last.

i'm actually really tired. tired of just all this bullshit in my life.

nite.
