had dinner with 2 of the H sisters tonight. the 3rd unfortunately couldn't make it. but i'm glad that all of them are settled back in LA now. it makes it much easier to catch up. we decided to have dinner at macaroni grill tonight as that was what Emulsion Chick wanted but then again, she couldn't decide on Curry House, Claim Jumper or chinese beef noodles. i suppose we'll tackle those eventually.

it was also the first time i took my camera with the new lens (50mm f/1.8) out to use. i absolutely am in love with this fixed lens which gives a really nice softness and depth of field to the photos. of course, i'm still learning how to use it and so a lot of the photos aren't that great. but i was also not using a flash to make the subjects less "flash-burny". :p i definitely need to see these gals more often as they are pros in using slr cameras. *bow down*
