mystery present
february 09, 2007

when i returned home today after martial arts class, i found a couple of parcels on my doorstep. one of which i recognized, the other was a smaller package with a return address that was completely foreign to me. did i order something and didn't remember it? has my online shopping gone to some extreme that i don't even know what is being delivered to me? although i was expecting some online shopping orders, nothing i was to receive was to fit in this small of a box.
as i scored the tape and opened up the box, i was dumbfounded to find a clearblue easy pregnancy test inside. what the hell?!
my first thought was "what kind of promotional item is this?!?" and then my second thought was "did someone fraudulently use my credit card?"
so i looked at the packing slip. i figured there's not going to be a "gift note" on there - why would there be afterall? so i looked for a distinguishing name or something of familiarity.
and then i saw a very very recognizable email address.
claire's mom is too funny. she must really want me procreate so claire will have a buddy to play with. ;)
of course this was after i thought:
1. did gg accidentally ship this to me when she wanted one for herself? you never know with those people who just had a kid. their reproductive systems are all revving to go again.
2. is this another early birthday present?
3. this is the biggest hint for me to have a kid...ever!
anyway, thanks to gg for the nice chuckle today. i needed it (the chuckle i mean). ;) and who needs moms and mother in laws to nag you about having children when you have friends who drop you not so subtle hints like this. haha. :D
